Transformers Electrical Design Engineer (5-14 yrs)
- Designing and engineering all mechanical components and systems for transformers, such as tanks, radiators, and core clamps.
- Creating detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Performing structural and thermal analysis on designs.
- Collaborating with electrical engineers, production teams, and quality control departments.
- Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and quality requirements.
- Implementing lessons learned from fleet and quality issues into new designs to improve robustness.
Required skills and qualifications :
Technical: Expertise in mechanical design principles, with proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
Knowledge: Understanding of transformer components, manufacturing, and fabrication processes. Knowledge of structural analysis is also beneficial.
Experience: Previous experience in the transformer or heavy electrical equipment industry is often required.
