Position: Asst Manager, Quality

Location: Vapi, Gujarat

Company: Auto Ancillary manufacturing/ (Japanese MNC)

Reporting into: Manager - Quality

Qualification: Graduate Engineer /Science, with PG diploma in Quality Management

Industry Type: Auto Ancillary, Ball manufacturing industry preferred.

Position Responsibility : Responsible for Quality management for Incoming materials, Process and Finished Good Quality. Broad responsibilities would include : -

- Ensure proper understanding of Customer requirements and setting up system process for its adherence.

- Ensure adherence to Quality Management system and process as per Global /Regional guidelines.

- Train employees for improving understanding and adherence to quality management systems.

- Regularly review standards, systems, and procedures to be in line with customer specification / Company QM systems

- Writing management and technical reports and customers charters.

- Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality

- Use statistical tools for recording, analysing, and distributing Quality MIS

- Use data centric approach to identify and mitigate Cost of Poor quality.

- Ensure manufacturing processes comply to established QM standards as applicable at national and international level.

- Quality Checks for Incoming Materials as per Quality inspection plans, with sampling in process and Final inspection.

- Document and issue test certificate of final product prior to packaging and dispatch.

- Ensure proper documentation and records of quality records.

- Proactively Initiate corrective actions with suppliers on aspects related to quality of, including documentation of necessary approvals (where applicable) at receipt stage

- Hold / Reject the material / stop further processing if material is non-conforming to specifications.

Experience & Skills : 

- 10-12 year of experience in auto ancillary manufacturing company / Engineering company in Quality function.

- Proficiency in English language with good oral and written communication skills

- Problem solving, Analysis, Leadership, Quality control, Six Sigma

- Possess good knowhow and work experience on Continuous improvement, Quality standards ISO9001& IATF16949. / IATF16949 core tool, Six Sigma tools and methods

- Well versed with Product Audit, Quality Assurance audits, Customers system, Process/Product audits
