Role : Manager - New Product Development

Reporting Into : Research and Development - Head

Division : Consumer Product Division

Location : Chennai

Education : Any Degree

Experience : Min 8 yrs exp. in product development

Key Responsibilities :


- To conceptualize and develop new product in personal care & home care categories.

- Hands-on experience on raw material selection and good knowledge of major suppliers of raw materials

- Background in the topical/dermal delivery/mechanism of action of ingredients/actives is preferred

- Wide-range knowledge of Scale up and manufacturing and essential understanding about product quality and stability protocols.

- Should capable to partners closely with Tech-reg to identify and evaluate novel and promising ingredients / technologies to be utilized in the development of new formulations.

- Identify emerging trends in the skincare industry both from a consumer and a scientific perspective. Scout for new technology opportunities that can be applied to the product innovation pipeline.

- Write technical papers, reports and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.

Desired Candidate Profile :


- Should have excellent knowledge in product formulation development, to create new and novel products for Cosmetics / Home Care application, including Herbal / Ayurvedic products.


- Familiar with national / international regulations around topical application products

- Should have ERP working knowledge (Oracle/SAP)

- Should have achievement orientation and result orientation approach.

- Should be good in Microsoft - Excel, Power Point & Word.

- Should have worked in New Product Development
