Used Oil Plant Engineer - Central Africa (5-15 yrs)

ROLE SUMMARY

The Used Oil Plant Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the used oil refining plant. The role covers the full refining cycle - from filtration and dehydration to distillation and treatment - ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous production output.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate and monitor the used oil refining plant including filtration, dehydration, distillation, and treatment processes.

- Ensure smooth operation of all equipment such as reactors, distillation columns, filters, pumps, and storage tanks.

- Maintain plant parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates as per process requirements.

- Plan and execute daily refining operations for used oil processing.

- Ensure production targets are achieved with optimum efficiency and minimum downtime.

- Monitor product quality and ensure the refined oil meets required specifications.

- Supervise plant operators, technicians, and helpers.

- Provide guidance and training to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

- Maintain daily production reports, plant logbooks, and operational records.

- Report plant performance, production data, and any operational issues to management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

- Minimum 5- 6 years of experience in used/waste oil dehydration or similar refining operations.

- Practical knowledge of distillation columns, reactors, filtration systems, and pumps.

- Proficiency in MS Office, E-Mail/Outlook, and SAP/ERP systems.
