This role is a part of Global Services to work as Should Cost Engineer supporting different Business Units across Vestas facilities Worldwide.

Should Costing /Product Costing for Electrical Components Only.

Responsibilities:

- The Cost Engineer's main responsibility is to support Global sourcing team with Cost modelling of various Wind turbine components and provide necessary inputs on Raw material, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, labor Cost, Overheads and other Cost drivers to support supplier negotiations.

- To provide VA/VE inputs and ideas to sell solutions to increase process efficiency at reduced costs and to provide Engineering inputs for New Product development projects

- To update and maintain the Data base for International RM price, Labor Cost, Machinery etc.

- Experience in Costing of Transformer, Generator, control system, Electrical Cables, Control Panel and cabinets, etc.

- Working Knowledge on Costing software like DFM, Costimator, aPRIORI etc

Qualifications:

- Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering with as MBA preferable

- At least 6 to 12 year experience in Cost Engineering and Sourcing.

- Strong Technical skills with Manufacturing Knowledge

- Strong Negotiation skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Good Presentation skills on techno commercial matters to Management and Stake holders

- Fluent in English (Oral & Written)

- Proficient in MS Office

- Working Knowledge on ERP (Infor XA / SAP) & Pro-E

- Must have the drive and enthusiasm to work to tight deadlines

- Be able to work across time zones and work with globally diverse culture
