VMC Operator (5-15 yrs)
We are seeking a skilled VMC Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for precision machining of components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CNC programming, machine operation, and quality inspection to ensure efficient production with high accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the VMC for machining by loading raw materials, securing workpieces, and installing cutting tools.
2. Input, edit, or modify CNC programs using G-code or CAM software to control the machine's operations.
3. Operate the VMC, monitor the machining process, make necessary adjustments, and ensure proper execution of machining programs.
4. Perform routine maintenance on the machine, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting to maintain optimal machine performance.
5. Select, install, and replace cutting tools based on machining requirements and tool wear.
6. Use quality measuring instruments to inspect parts and ensure adherence to specifications.
7. Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or deviations to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Tool & Die / CNC Machining or related field.
2. Proven experience operating VMC machines.
3. Knowledge of CNC programming and CAM software.
4. Familiarity with cutting tools, machining processes, and quality inspection instruments (micrometer, caliper, height gauge, etc.).
5. Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
