Position: Head of Silvassa Units

Designation: Vice President (Mfg)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Purpose: Responsible for manufacturing of products at Silvasa units to meet sales needs

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise the Production, Maintenance, Projects and Security. Teams to ensure they work in co-ordination to achieve the production targets.

- Monitor Industrial relation in the plant and adjoining areas to devise and make timely intervention and maintain productive IR environment.

- Interface/ collaborate with other departments (Marketing, QC, R & D, etc.) to incorporate changes in production schedule/ specifications so as to meet the delivery schedules.

- Ensure implementation of statutory requirements in the Plant in consultation with other functions (HR, Finance, Excise etc.) so as to achieve compliance standards.

- Develop and monitor implementation of plant process modifications including machinery, equipment, tools, facilities, manpower, etc. So as to meet the business growth requirements.

- Review and monitor the plant efficiency and quality performance to identify and make intervention so as to improve plant performance.

- Provide guidance and support to the teams so as to ensure proactive solutions to business issues.

- Authorise and supervise local purchases to meet urgent requirements of plants.

- Authorise purchases of engineering items

Supervises: GM (Production), AGM Personnel and administration, Security manager, AGM Maintenance, DGM QA, Head of SHE

Reports to: CMD

Qualification: B. Tech (Chemicals),

Experience: 15+ years in chemical manufacturing unit with min. 5 years as a unit head
