Job Description of Wind Resource Assessment

Job location - Gurugram

Experience :- 2+ Years

Proficient in use of software such as WAsP 11.6, WindPRO 3.2, Wind Farmer, WAsP Engineering,

Windographer, Global Mapper

- Selections of location for installation of meteorological mast.

- Identification of windy sites.

- Pre-feasibility assessments for new wind farm sites.

- Site visit for finalization of met mast location.

- Release MPF and MAF for met mast to land team.

- Coordination with land Team for land purchasing and rent agreement.

- Responsible for carrying out recourse assessment of wind farm in terms of Annual Energy Production using the WAsP.

- Wind data analysis and Processing: Data and quality checking, cleaning and validation for Met mast and

- Lidar data.

- Responsible for preparation of Contour and Roughness map, Wind rose diagrams as per data.

- Wind farm design/Layout Optimization: Micrositing wind project layout across various sites and delivered

- Energy Prognosis, produce a site report and site suitability report for the same.

- Specialist in Inter cropping and Repowering sites

- Micrositing and verification survey on ground.

- Energy production assessment which includes wind data processing and quality checking, correlation

- analysis, wind flow and wake modelling, review of energy loses, statistical analysis and produce a report.

- Produced detail reports which review the feasibility of sites for development which may include feasibility

- studies, site meteorological measurements.

- Created and maintained generation-based wind variation from the actual generation of wind turbines.

- Providing suitable WTG model for wind farm with optimizing the layout in order to obtain maximum energy yield.

- Extreme winds and wind load calculations.

- Preparation of various standard technical wind assessment reports, drawings, layouts for clients, third party validations agencies etc.

- Knowledge of other supporting software's such as WAsP map editor, WAsP Turbine editor, AutoCAD,

- Google earth, Mapsource, Base camp, Global mapper.

- Strong computer skills in particular software packages such as AutoCAD, Wind Farmer, WindPRO, Google

- Earth, Global Mapper, Map source.

- Strong experience in MS- Office.
